Abstract submission

While final event logistics are confirmed, we invite members to submit an abstract for a talk or poster to share with the British Society of Genetic Medicine community. Please download the submission form at the bottom of this page and submit via the 'upload an abstract' button at the top of this page. Please be aware, the use of AI tools was not permitted for abstract assessment.

Please note: The limit for abstract submission is two presentations as presenting author and no limitations as co-author.

Submissions are now closed. Late breaking abstracts will be open from Monday 7 - Monday 21 September 23:59.

Who should attend?

This event is open to all, including non-BSGM members.
 

Cost and Bookings

Bookings will open on Monday 27 July and close on Tuesday 10 November at 23:59. 
  • Early Career Researchers (BSGM Members) - £135
  • BSGM Members - £180
  • Non-Members - £240
  • Industry - £300

Please note, to inform us of your attendance at the Networking Reception, please add 'yes' or 'no' to the notes section of your booking.  

Cancellation Policy 
  • Cancellation 10 working days before the start of the event = 100% refund less 25% administration fee
  • Cancellation between 5 - 10 working days before the start of the event = 50% refund less 25% administration fee
  • Cancellation less than 5 working days before, or non-attendance at the event = 0% refund

Special requirements

If you have accessibility requirements, please let us know during registration using the additional information box, and we will do what we can to accommodate your needs, for example: 
  • You will need access to a quiet room/ prayer room where possible 
  • You use mobility aids such as a wheelchair, walking stick or crutches
  • You have a visual or hearing impairment, such as requiring captions or subtitles during presentations or hearing loops
  • You will be bringing a registered service animal 
  • You have dietary needs (vegetarian/ vegan/ kosher/ halal/ gluten-free or an allergy, e.g. peanuts, gluten) 
  • You will need baby feeding or changing facilities
  • Availability of easily accessible gender neutral toilets
  • Venue has parking availability 
  • If you require a personal emergency evacuation plan (PEEP), please contact us as soon as possible


Continuing Professional Development

This event is approved for the purposes of CPD and can be counted as 7 CPD points.

These points will automatically be added to MySociety accounts after the event has taken place. An attendance certificate will also be sent to registered attendees.
