The event will be followed by a networking reception 18:00 - 20:00.

Abstract submission

While final event logistics are confirmed, we invite members to submit an abstract for a talk or poster to share with the British Society of Genetic Medicine community. Please download the submission form at the bottom of this page and submit via the 'upload an abstract' button at the top of this page.

Submissions are now open and will close on Monday 13 July at 23:59.

Who should attend?

This event is open to all, including non-BSGM members.

Special requirements

If you have accessibility requirements, please let us know during registration using the additional information box, and we will do what we can to accommodate your needs, for example: 
  • You will need access to a quiet room/ prayer room where possible 
  • You use mobility aids such as a wheelchair, walking stick or crutches
  • You have a visual or hearing impairment, such as requiring captions or subtitles during presentations or hearing loops
  • You will be bringing a registered service animal 
  • You have dietary needs (vegetarian/ vegan/ kosher/ halal/ gluten-free or an allergy, e.g. peanuts, gluten) 
  • You will need baby feeding or changing facilities
  • Availability of easily accessible gender neutral toilets
  • Venue has parking availability 
  • If you require a personal emergency evacuation plan (PEEP), please contact us as soon as possible


Continuing Professional Development

This event is approved for the purposes of CPD and can be counted as 7 CPD points.

These points will automatically be added to MySociety accounts after the event has taken place. An attendance certificate will also be sent to registered attendees.

Call for Papers

Log in or register on mySociety and follow these steps for submitting your Abstract:

1. Follow the link below entitled 'Click here for more information about submissions' to download an abstract submission form.

2. Fill in the form and upload using the Upload an abstract button at the top of the page.

3. Delegates will be notified if their Abstracts have been accepted 6 weeks before the event.

4. Please note: Once you select Save Changes to your Abstract, it will be submitted. You will then not be able to view, edit or delete it. If you want to make any changes contact events@rsb.org.uk
