ACGS Summer Meeting 2026

Where? ICC Birmingham

We're delighted to announce that registration is now open for the ACGS Summer Scientific Meeting, taking place at the ICC Birmingham on Thursday 4th - Friday 5th June.

This year's meeting will bring together the latest developments in clinical genomics, with sessions spanning variant interpretation, emerging technologies, and real-world implementation. Full programme details to follow, highlights include:

MAVE-focused session (Thursday 4th June)

Comparing approaches to MAVEs, including saturation genome editing, prime editing, and base editing

Interpreting MAVE readouts in cancer susceptibility genes

Applications in rare disease and paediatric neurodevelopmental conditions

Truthsets, Calibration, validation, and alignment with ACMG/ClinGen frameworks 

Additional sessions/talks (details TBC):

AI in genomics - including “Clinical Bioinformatics in the age of agentic AI”

Insights from the Quic DNA Max study in Wales (ctDNA testing)

Constellation sequencing in solid tumours

We will also be joined by GTAC, who will be bringing their virtual reality platform for delegates to experience!

To register, and for further details, please log in to mySociety (non members can create an account and then register). Registration closes on Sunday 17th May and is unlikely to be extended due to venue deadlines. Early booking is strongly encouraged.
